Union Station Kansas City

Built in 1914 Union Station is a fully functional train station that features many fine restaurants and shops.  Inside Union Station visitors can explore the KC Rail Experience, a planetarium, interactive science center and a vibrant theater district featuring movies and live theater throughout the year.  Union Station is unlike any destination in the country, mixing historical landmarks with modern-day attractions it’s a must-see while in Kansas City. The next exhibit coming to Union Station is "Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship." Opening June 22, visitors will be able to learn about people who populated the Atlantic world in the age of piracy. The exhibit will feature more than 200 real artifacts from the Whydah such as jewelry, gold, cannons and more.
